Fintech & Digital Assets
Digital asset custody: hot, warm and cold, and the controls between them
Losses at exchanges and custodians rarely come from broken cryptography. They come from weak controls around keys, approvals and withdrawals.
Company profile
Four practices, twelve commodity desks and every service line in one document. Read it online or download the PDF.
The hosting, compute, key-management and recovery layer that payment, banking and digital-asset platforms run on.
Financial regulators increasingly expect customer data and critical systems to stay in the country, with a tested recovery site and hardware-protected keys. We design that foundation: racks in Tier III facilities or sovereign cloud regions, payment HSMs and key ceremonies, network segmentation and an active-active or warm-standby recovery plan.
The same team runs compute for workloads that ordinary hosting does not handle well, such as GPU clusters for AI models, risk calculations and blockchain validators. Power, cooling and connectivity are planned with our technology practice, and everything is monitored around the clock.
| Service | What it covers | Typical components |
|---|---|---|
| In-country hosting | Data-centre and sovereign-cloud hosting that keeps financial data inside Oman where regulation requires it. | Data residency, Sovereign cloud, Colocation |
| High-performance and GPU compute | Compute clusters for AI models, risk calculation and blockchain workloads. | GPU clusters, HPC, AI training |
| Blockchain nodes and validators | Managed nodes, validators and digital-asset mining infrastructure with power and cooling engineering. | Nodes, Validators, Mining infrastructure |
| HSM and key management | Hardware security modules, payment HSMs and key ceremonies for cards, wallets and signing. | Payment HSM, Key ceremonies, PKI |
| Resilience and disaster recovery | Active-active architectures, backup sites and tested recovery for critical financial systems. | Active-active, DR sites, RTO / RPO |
We map the product, the users, the licences required and the partners who hold them.
A modular, API-first design that adds rails, currencies and assets without a rebuild.
Platform engineering and connections to banks, schemes, exchanges, custodians and blockchains.
Penetration testing, PCI and ISO controls, and audit evidence before launch.
Monitoring, reconciliation, support and continuous improvement under service levels.

The requirements that were "best practice" until March 2025 are now mandatory. Most of them land on payment pages, authentication and the way risk is documented.

Cross-border payment messages have moved to ISO 20022. The richer data only helps if it is captured correctly at the counter and in the app.
