Commodity Trading

Commodity Trading

We buy from established producers and deliver to contract specification, with inspection, trade finance, documentation and freight managed from Muscat.

Overview

Our trading practice supplies the materials that construction, infrastructure, industry and food security depend on. Twelve commodity desks source from established mills, refineries, smelters, quarries and growers, and deliver to buyers in Oman, the wider GCC, East Africa and South Asia.

The range runs from steel, cement, clinker and bitumen for builders, through sulfur, polymers and fertilizers for industry and farming, to non-ferrous metals, industrial minerals, petroleum products and staple foods. Every contract is backed by independent inspection, documents prepared to match the letter of credit and freight booked with vetted owners.

What sets the desk apart is the rest of the company. Our fintech team structures payment and settlement, our technology team keeps the documents and tracking in one record, and our cybersecurity team protects the payment instructions that fraudsters target. A buyer deals with one accountable counterparty from enquiry to discharge.
